how do i auto assign a ticket to a user based on the reporter

i have a ticket reporter that i want to assign to one user regardless of the ticket content, 

how do i do that?

I would use automation. I am on cloud and use Automation Lite for Jira (free). I believe that server (later versions) have automation built in possibly but not 100% sure. If not you can add the free addon and accomplish your goal.

something like:

when issue created and reporter = xyz then assignee = abc
