export jiar issues to excel show messy code for chinese

Dear Support,

I'm in Atlassian Jira Project Management Software (v8.13.6#813006-sha1:c80b532)

when i export issues to excel, it shows messy code for chinese, I also tried the solution of https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Software-questions/Export-issue-to-CSV-but-chinese-show-messy-code/qaq-p/1782643, but it still not work.

@frank_ho Welcome to the Atlassian community

There are two things happening here.  One are the characters being exported properly. The article above should fix that issue.  

After you do the export if you open the CSV file using notepad or notepad ++ are the chinese characters as they should be?

If they are your issue is with excel interpreting the characters when it is opening the file.  It also needs to interpret the file as ANSI https://www.accompa.com/kb/answer.html?answer_id=264

Or maybe jira provides the function of exporting to excel is very nice.
