export Jira issues to excel option is missing

Hi everyone,

We are using Jira version 8.17.0 hosted on cloud. while trying to export issues we are unable to find Excel option. Kindly help us on the same.

The tags on this question and the version number suggests that you are actually using Jira Server or Jira Data Center, even if it is running on a cloud-based hosting solution (like a VPS).

To get back the built-in Excel export feature you can follow what Fabio suggested, or you can install the Better Excel Exporter app as a more capable alternative. (This is a paid and supported app developed by my team.)

please could you attach what you see? It should be possible to export issues in a standard format as CSV.

From JIRA 7.2 export in EXCEL has been removed but, if you want you can unlock that feature as follow :

1. Stop JIRA.
2. Locate the jira-config.properties file in the $JIRA_HOME directory. If the file does not exist, please proceed to create it.
3. Open the file and add the below on a separate line:
   jira.export.excel.enabled=true
4. Save this file.
5. Restart JIRA.
