create a story under feature ticket

Does anyone know if JIRA plans to add functionality to create a story under a feature? The current hierarchy of JIRA is:

• Epic

  • Story/Feature/Task/Bug/etc

    • Subtask

However, it should be:

• Epic
  • Feature
    • subtask 
    • Story
      • Subtask

Yeah, Jira doesn't offer this. There is the option to use Jira Align to add new levels of hierarchy. It can be an expensive solution, but in my experience it's a good tool for portfolio management, and  it integrates well with Jira.

I don't see that happen anytime soon in standard Jira. Especially the part where you added a subtask at the same level as a story.

Apart from that, a lot of changes are happening around hierarchy, such as the ability to rename Epics, adding additional issue types that behave like epics and aligning the technical hierarchy so every parent-child relation is using the same parent-child link type.

If you can't wait for that, marketplace apps like Structure do allow you to build your own, custom hierarchies.
