check jira status on Ubuntu

Hello, how can I ckech the status of my JIRA because it doesn't start! It was working perfectly but today that I want to login, doesn't work anymore

You will need to read the logs to see what it is doing.

Start with <jira home>/log/atlassian-jira.log

I have not idea what happen but, today I just ran:

sudo sh start-jira.sh

And jira start up again. I don't know why,because yesterday I typed this many times and it didn't started !
