Not a custom field but you can use card colors (Classic) on your boards. This is configured in Classic projects under board settings > card colors.

Jira doesn’t have fields associated with projects. Unsure how you would signify a project status. Maybe somehow assumed from number of issues completed vs open which isn’t a good indicator IMO. Regardless, this is not supported OOTB. The best I could recommend is to create a Dashboard that captures issue progress that could illustrate project progress. Note typically projects are never ending so again project status doesn’t make sense in that case. Maybe consider Epics within a project and leverage Advanced Roadmaps. You might also check Marketplace.

Hi @sujata Birajdar ,

I think it's not possible with default template / Jira features.

You can create project categories as "Red" , "Yellow", "green".

These may be a bit helpful to identify which project is active , achieved or something else.
