can we applied validation according to issue types, while setting the transitions in workflow?

I've created a workflow with some transition & validators like before transition of a story from "backlog" to "To do" state ,some commitment dates must be provided(Dev & QA) . This workflow works for all issue types in a same way. However, i want a validator for specific issue type like for "Tasks" ,only dev commitment date must be asked not others. 

Please suggest the ways to achieve it if possible.

Unfortunately there isn't a specific validator you could use in order to achieve this. However, you could do this:

• by creating a new workflow specifically for the issue type you wish only this validation to run (e.g. task)
• using a 3rd party app, which will give you more power over validators (such as JMWE).
