Hello everyone.
In my kanban board's backlog all epics and tasks are both displayed in the same way - without any hierarchy even it exists.
Can I decide to show in my backlog only the tasks and eventually subtasks leaving out the epics ?
Thanks in advance.
Hi @Duilio,
There's a couple of things you can do here. What is probably done most, is activating the kanban backlog. This support article has a lot more background on it and you can read here how to enable it.
Once it is there, you can enable the Epics panel there. As soon as that is in place, it will no longer list your epics as cards, but on the side panel in the backlog:
Alternatives can be to add swimlanes to your board by Epics (if you have a lot of epics or would like to use swimlanes for a different purpose, then that won't be your best option). Or you could add a quick filter to your board to filter out your Epics, something like this:
Issuetype != Epic
See what works best for you! Hope this helps!
Hi @Duilio
As an alternative you can try out our add-on to track progress of issues in Epic hierarchy on time estimates and at story points as well.
Agile Tools - Epic Tree and Time in Status
The add-on allows you to manage and visualize your Epics with rolled up estimate progress reports along with multiple Time in Status Reports ( more than 6 reports).
