Why aren't my tasks showing up in sprint backlog for a sprint from existing saved filter?

Hi,

I'm currently trying to create a sprint from a saved filter so that I can source a sprint board from multiple projects. I am using the following query to test this out:

project in ("Automated Deploys")

I have multiple tasks in the Automated Deploys project.  When I search with the filter I see all of the tasks that I would like to show up in my sprint backlog.  However, when I create a sprint board from this saved query I am only seeing the Epics from the above mentioned project, none of the actual tasks are in the backlog.  When I click on an epic, the right pane shows me the child tasks the epic has, but they are not in the backlog nor can I add them from the right pane into the sprint.

What am I missing here that would cause these tasks to not show up?

Happy to include screenshots/more info if it would be helpful.

Thanks,

Chase

upon further investigation, it seems that I am affected by this issue:
