Why are Epics showing differently now on Issues? Used to be Epic Name & now showing Summary

When looking at an Issue, you used to see the Epic Name in the Epic Link field. Now you see the Summary of the Epic itself. It looks way more messy and it was a lot quicker just seeing the Epic Name on the ticket.

We didn't change any of our Jira settings. Anyone know if Jira had an update or there is a way to change it back?

Hello @Mallory Sauer

These are changes that Atlassian has been working on to align Company Managed and Team Managed projects to handle Epics in the same way.

This particular change was called out in their weekly updates blog.

https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/blog/2023/04/atlassian-cloud-changes-mar-27-to-apr-3-2023

...under the heading "Changes to epic fields in company-managed projects"

That includes a link to more information here:

https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Software-articles/Upcoming-changes-to-epic-fields-in-company-managed-projects/ba-p/1997562

Thank you, @Trudy Claspill ! Appreciate you providing those links; that was the information I was looking for.
