Where have my saved filters gone?

George Young March 13, 2018

My favourite self-created filters used to be in a dropdown at the top of every page, so I could go to them in one or two clicks. Where are they now? Sometimes they are in the expanded sidebar, sometimes not. Are they simply accessible somewhere that I have missed?

Click magnifying glass then under filters click view all filters.

Thanks Jack.... and then click owner and then select my name. 4 clicks.

I see that there are Recent Filters at the bottom of the search screen (practically below the line in my case) Is there a way to get rid of the Recent Boards and Recent Projects. I'll never use those.

Also consider simply using the magnifying glass for search. If you know the name of the filter you are after simply begin typing it in. It should appear at the bottom under Filters section. Basically, the new search is intended to be sort of a "find anything" solution but it is far from perfect. I really wish i could enter advanced JQL searches there "cleanly". You can enter them but there is some odd results.

There is know way to configure the sidebar search results AFAIK. It would be nice and it would not surprise me if there isn't already a suggestion open w/ Atlassian to allow this.

Thanks Jack, I am allergic to typing to find things I use all the time. I am bypassing Jira entirely for this now and have just set up more browser bookmarks. That's extra work too but at least I only have to do it once. I wish I could make my company see how much time and effort staff spend struggling with these enforced UI designs and maybe they would look elsewhere for project tools. Big companies like Atlassian have an unhealthy share of this market and treat us users with contempt.
