1. Project role can be created by using the below method(method1):
Settings > System > Project role
2. (method2)
Select your project in all Projects > Project Settings > Access > Manage role > Create role
Now,
What is the difference between these two project roles?
Why, while creating the role via "method2" I did not get the role which I created via "method1"?
Please Clarify.
The first method are the global project roles which are used in the company managed projects and are available to the whole jira instance only for company managed projects
The second method are the roles which can be created in team managed projects, and have nothing to do with other projects, meaning that the role you create inside a team managed project, is only for that project. If you want the same role to another team manage project, then you have to create it there as well.
