What is the correct smart value syntax for including a slack mention via user id in a jira condition

I have an automation rule that looks like

```
{{issueKey}} picked up by
{{#if(equals(assignee.emailAddress, 'me@company.com'))}}
  <@slack-id>
{{/}}
```
If I take out the slack id in carets, it's fine. Otherwise I get a "Char can't be parsed from" error.

Hi @Daniel Lizik

Without seeing your entire rule for context, I wonder if the @ symbol is leading to an attempted match on a Jira user, as in a mention.  When I try just the text "<@slack-id>" in such a condition, it works with no match attempt, and does not show that error.

You could try removing the @ and storing the expression result in a created variable, and then adding it back in with a replace() before usage.

If that does not work, please consider posting images of your entire rule and audit log details showing the execution.  Those may provide context for other suggestions about what is happening.  Thanks!

Kind regards,
Bill
