What happened to Epics side panel in Backlog view?

Used to be able to display Backlog by Epics.  No longer available on the side panel as of this week. 

Used to be able to show all the Epics, then click through each one to see the associated USs in the backlog. This no longer works.

Hello @Beth Wingerd 

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Can you provide a screen image of what you see?

Are you working with a board for a Team Managed project or a Company Managed project?

Are you working with a Kanban board or a Scrum board?

Does your board have the "Enhance my board and backlog" option enabled?

If it does, the Epics panel may have been turned off. You can turn it back on by pulling down the Epics filter and toggling the option at the bottom of that list.

That was the problem - the new enhanced epic filter.
