Hello
I have a new scrum board I setup switching over from a kanban board, everything transferred over and is working correctly. My problem is the Velocity report will not display any data, for my two complete sprints, or any of the previous Kanban sprints. I have sprint features enabled, using story points and i have also tried time tracking. Nothing displays in the graphs, but it does show the sprints below with no data. Any ideas?
Instead of struggling with limited Jira reports, try the gadgets offered by our Great Gadgets app. One of the many gadgets that this app offers is the Team Velocity gadget that works with any type of estimates (story points, tracked time, etc), is highly configurable and offers more info than the Jira report.
The app offers also a Kanban Velocity gadget that you can use if you don't have sprints.
This app is a complete solution for tracking agile projects in an efficient manner. Have a look over the articles from our blog for make a better idea.
If you need any help in configuring these gadgets, please contact us at support@stonikbyte.com.
Thank you,

Hi @Philip A. Gonzalez -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
As @Laurie Sciutti already noted, until the team has completed sprints, none appear on the velocity chart unless: the estimation statistic is selected and the stories are estimated with that value.
When you note that the reports show sprints by no data, what exactly are you observing? Would you please post an image of the report you are seeing?
Kind regards,
Bill

Hello @Philip A. Gonzalez and welcome! You can only measure velocity for Scrum-based projects. You need to complete at least one sprint (on your Scrum board) to show any meaningful velocity data.

@Philip A. Gonzalez ~ do you have the Estimation Statistic in your board setting to estimate based on Story Points? And you've confirmed you have Story Points entered in your completed issues in sprint?
