Using data center Jira but i cant open issues in dialogue box

Hello

i want to be able to open my stories in the dialogue box but the option is just not there 

  

my jira admin tells me that it is not a feature for jira DC 

is that true?

Yes, the UIs in Jira Server/DC and Jira Cloud are very different (they're very different pieces of software.  Nowadays, I tend to describe them as "for the same things, with compatible data", but not the same code or software any more).

DC does not have that option.
