Hi,
Our team wants to shift from Scrum board to a Kanban board. Unfortunately the Scrum board was in a Team Managed project so I could not create an additional board under the same project. I have created a new Company Managed project with the Kanban board and would like to move issues from the old board to new. I was trying to update the Issue types with intended custom fields, but am not getting an option to add new fields. I am the administrator and am wondering why?
Hello @Ritika Kapoor
Welcome to the Atlassian community!
For Company Managed projects only a full Jira Administrator can create custom fields and add them to projects. This type of change is not accessible from Project Settings. The Jira Administrator has to go to Jira Settings > Issues. There they can find the screens that allow them to create custom fields and add them to the screens used in Company Managed projects.
Thank you Trudy! I figured and got myself the JIRA admin access :-)
