Unfortunately, it doesn't provide guidance on how to add "Team" to the left Nav Bar.
What you could do is to have a dashboard in Jira for your team showing taskboard, burndown, sprint status etc and during the daily meeting to display it on a TV screen in the team space or to screen-share it if the meeting is online. During the meeting, the team members can point-out to the items from the dashboard.
This approach worked just fine for me and the teams I coached.
You can easily create such a dashboard by using the gadgets offered by our Great Gadgets app.

Yes, these additional visuals will be helpful during Daily Scrum. My query is more on- if Jira can be used in Daily Scrum, specifically in recording/storing the responses to the 3 questions (below) instead of using OneNote, Word or other applications.
