The field of the date of the actual closing of the task

Please tell me how I can display this field in the task card.
How can I refer to the value of this field in automations?
Thank you!

Next to access a custom field from Automation, you need to get the ID of that Custom field.

  1. In your Issues -> Fields -> Custom Fields select the custom field you have created
  2. Now Hover over the Contexts and default value menu. Donot Click!!!

  3. Now see on the bottom left where your browser dispalys the URL of the hover item. It has your custom field ID:

  4. Next in the automation you can either find your custom field by Name or you can use smart variable like this:-
{{issue.customfield_10883}}: the value of a custom field, where "xxxxx" is the ID of the custom field.

Hello @Бабій Олександр

Welcome to the community.

You can introduce a new field in an Issue Screen from :- Project Settings -> Issues -> Layout

Screenshot from 2023-10-18 09-48-59.png

1. I created a task
2. Set the start date
3. Set the completion date
4. Completed the task.
5. Displayed all fields that have the Date format
6. None of the fields displayed the actual closing date

You need to search the filed you want to display from the "Type to search all fields" section. It'll find you one if there is one. Than it will be displayed.

Same with displaying the field in the filter. Yuu need to select the field from columns section, search it and tick it to display as a new column in the jql filter.

This field is only displayed in the task list.
It is not possible to create a filter or simply find a field with that name.

Maybe you need to add a automation to a custom field.

The custom field is updated to the date when a ticket is marked as Done. That is the ticket completed date and then you

Than you can definitely add custom fields in your filter.

Thank you!
Because of the "crutches", I am already more or less oriented on how to do it, but there can be more than 1 duplication of system functionality and statuses, and if that changes and the automation is not updated - we will lose data in analytics and further automation of chains of interaction with this field .
