Can different teams co operate on same ticket?
E.g Team A creates an issue that they feel that team B's expertise from another section in the company is required.
I have managed to activate the team field in the ticket, entered the name of the particular team but then I would have expected for that team to be notified that their help is being requested from another team.
Is there a way to make this happen?
Hi @Marvin Cachia ,
thanks for posting your question on this. It reminded me of how little information there appears to be on the purpose/value of Teams in Jira. For me, the solution really feels half baked, but I haven't fully embraced it primarily because I don't understand it. With that said, to the best of my understanding, notifications don't work the way you might expect related to Teams. You can @mention a team, which will drive a notification but I don't think a notification is sent to a team just because they're added to the team field. At least that was my experience many months ago when I tested this and it appears to be the same for you today. Also note that there appears to be differences between the way teams works in standard and free tiers versus how it works in premium with advanced roadmaps.
if you are embracing the feature, and you want to use it in a manner that involves notifying a team then consider adding the users as watchers or us @mention in a comment.
