Swimlane setting for Board

Babu Rajaram February 14, 2021

In board settings-->swimlanes, there is a drop down "base swimlanes on" where we can choose epic/stories/queries/projects.  what is the use of "projects"?  It will anyway show only one project right?  or this can be used to show tickets across projects ?

Yes, @Babu Rajaram

If you have an underlying query that includes issues from multiple projects, you can divide the issues based on projects!

Go ahead and try one!

Hi @Babu Rajaram

A board can hold tickets from one or more projects. It depends on the board's filter.

If your filter says something like

Project category = "ClientA"

then all the projects in that project category will be in scope of the board.

Project in ("ABC", "XYZ")

will pull in all the tickets from these 2 projects.

So in those scenarios, the swimlane by project helps
