Suggested Groups in Basic Issue Search

Mark Bennett January 29, 2014

Hi, how do I get all my created groups to show up in the "Assignee" criteria box in basic issue search? One or two come up but not all. I've written JQL in advanced search using some of the groups I want to appear in basic search but that didn't result in those groups appearing. Thanks

Groups don't appear in the assignee lists, only users. I suspect I'm missing something, or misunderstanding the question - could you explain how you've got groups to appear in the assignee list?

I actually didn't do anything to get a sub-set of my created groups to appear in the assignee criteria select list that appears in basic search....right at the bottom of the list of assignees is a section called "Suggested Groups" and under that there are four gruops that I can tick. I just want all of them to appear.

Ah, got it, it's the bit that will lead to "assignee is in group X"

My understanding is that it suggests the groups that you are in.

Thanks Nic, that's really useful to know (and sorry about the delayed reply!). You wouldn't hapen to know if it's easily possible to get Jira to list all groups in the criteria box irrespective of whether I'm in them?
