Hello,

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Are you working with a Team Managed project or a Company Managed project? That information will show at the bottom of the panel on the left when you are looking at the board.

Both types of projects support what you want to do, but the exact steps to implement are different.

In both cases you need to edit the Workflow so that

1. You remove the global transitions that are labeled "ALL".

2. Add explicit transitions from one status to the next status.

To limit who can execute a particular transition you need to add a Condition (for a workflow for a Company Managed project) or a Rule (for a workflow in a Team Managed project).

https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/configure-advanced-issue-workflows/#Conditions

https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/available-workflow-rules-in-team-managed-projects/#Availableworkflowrulesinnextgenprojects-Restrictwhocanmoveanissue

With those features you can find options that allow you to limit who can execute the transition. The options will be different between the two types of projects.

Hello, I would like to specify in my Jira project that no one can skip columns, e.g. move from backlog to finished. I would also like to specify that I create a column with under review where only the project manager can push it into finished after it has been checked by him. Can someone help me.
