First time diving into Jira // Slack integrations - I'm looking to generate a notification in a specific Slack channel anytime a ticket with a certain project is moved to "Done".
I was following this article: https://davis-standard.atlassian.net/jira/settings/automation#/rule/new/__NEW__TRIGGER --
however I'm not seeing (or understanding) how to limit it to specific tickets. The out of the box items will send all status updates, which isn't the behavior I'm after.
Thoughts on this one?
So, if Project equals "Salesforce" and Status is changed from * to Done, send a notification to #channel.
That should be doable with Automation. If you look in the Library there are some templates for Slack messaging. Check them out here:
Jira automation for Slack for Microsoft Teams | Atlassian
I'm guessing you can take a template automation and tweak it to do what you would like for your project.
