Hi :)
In last time Jira is making some trouble. Without a trigger an unknown rule gets executed by Automation for Jira. This creats kind of an loop. In one example The status changes from done, back to create and back to done. Then the loop stops. But this is only shown in the history of the task.
But there is no execution of any rule at this time in the audit log neither in the project automation settings nor in the global automation:
Furthermore I'm pretty sure that no one was doing anything in Jira around 6 am to trigger any rule. The rule running around 6am hasn't done anything and doesn't interfer with the shown task at all.
Do you have any idea how to find the solution for this curiosity.
Thanks a lot.
Dennis
Have you looked earlier and later in the global admin view of the automation audit log to find any possible causes?
There is a known problem of automation rules not respecting the system time zone setting and perhaps the rule causing the changes is shown running at a different time. https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/AUTO-896
Kind regards,
Bill
Hi @Dennis Messemer , thanks for your question. There is also a section from within the issue, to the right, where you can see the history of the Automation executions
Can you have a look in there and see if you get any clues as to what is going on?
Cheers
