Remove a component from an issue

I would like to write code in order to remove a component from an issue. For example, there is a component called WF-EDA and I would like to write code in order to delete it. How can I do this?

HI @Mouna Hammoudi

If you delete the components from the project it will remove it from all the issues. You could use an automation for JIRA as well  instead using a script.

Does any of those solution may work ?

I agree with @Florian Bonniec that you can either use Jira Automations or a script to remove the component from a specific set of issues.  Creating an Automation is definitely the easiest route to take.

Here is a link where you can read more about Automations: https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/features/automation
