What will happen to existing users if I enable a Password Policy?

Currently we have this turned off.

If I enable a Password Policy in Jira, what will happen to existing users that have a password which does not meet the password complexity requirement.

JIRA v7.12 will support Oracle 12c R1 as per the Atlassian supported platform. Please follow the supported platform for the additional information.
