It's been happening for a few weeks now, and I've had to uncheck "Enable Protected View for files originating from the Internet" to be able to open them again (following the steps from this link), which I'm obviously not comfortable with.
Hi Laura,
I would definitely recommend you to get some help from the security department of your company if you have one. If not, in a few words, a Certificate Authority is an institution trusted by your network which signs certificates to stamp them as legit. Your browser will then find your certificate and check if that kind of authority has validated it. This usually is a paid service offered by many providers, some companies also have their own certificate authority (internal) which is not universally accepted by runs SSL over the company's network.
Hope this helps!
Cheers
