Post Function / Setting CLOSED to RESOLVED

Chad R Brown

I set up a simple workflow in JIRA software.  When I run reports, closed (category "DONE") tickets don't show as resolved.  The articles I read tell me to set the post functions, but nowhere in my workflow workspace do I see a post function option.  Have I set something up incorrectly?

Hi @Emanuel Jianu,

Unfortunately, I have not found any documentation regarding the customisation of the project creation process. I found an add-on that seems to adhere to your requirements however.

Hope this helps

The only way to do it without add-ons is to hack the core of Jira, effectively implementing what an add-on would do in the core.

An add-on is easier, faster and safer than that, plus it leaves you supported if something goes wrong (Atlassian don't technically support add-ons, but if you have a problem, you can temporarily remove add-ons to put it back in a supported state)
