I would like to require a transitioner to update field PR Move Req Date in a transition, but there isn't a way in Jira software to clear the field before the user sees the screen,

I thought of a workaround: creating a text field named "Please update the PR Move Req Date.", but is there a way to display it read-only; otherwise, it looks like this:

Text field in a screen

Hi, Ramesh.

There has been a couple of posts on Atlassian Community with no solid answer to this. So, I would like to gather more information to understand the issue that you are facing with the JIRA cron job before diving deeper into it:

Troubleshooting Question

  • Can you please provide a more detailed step by step on how the issue is being reproduced on your instance?
  • Are you running on JIRA server / cloud?
  • Which version of JIRA are you running on? What type of installation (installer or zip)?
  • Is the error appearing on the atlassian-jira.log itself or somewhere else?
  • Can you explain further what do you mean by "after throw this error again clean atlas and re-run its taking lot of time"?
  • How do you implement your cronjob on JIRA? Do you use any third-party software for it?

Information Gathering

  • Can you share the specific cron job that you are running on your instance?
  • If the error appears in atlassian-jira.log, can you share the snippet of the stack trace?

Keep me posted. Thanks.

Hi, Ramesh.

Thank you for the details. Is it possible for you to share more details to the questions I asked here or would you prefer to have this created a support ticket so that the JIRA support team will be able to assist you further? Thank you.
