  • How to determine which projects are using which custom fields, when sharing field config scheme?

I have both JSU an Scriptrunner - should I keep both?

We have the Jira Data Center and are in the process of reviewing or current plugins for our annual budget. I am looking for specifics on the differences between Scriptrunner and Jira Suite utilities (JSU). Both have some similar features but is there a comparison chart to show what one does and the other does not?

Aside from looking at the fields there isn't a direct way to find them that I'm aware of. There may be a plugin.

Every field configuration contains all the fields. You only need to be concerned with the fields you want to make required upon creation or hide. Usually there is a field configuration to cover most issue types and a few more for specific issue types. The field configuration scheme is created by adding all the issue type configurations into the scheme.

HI @Pete

Welcome to the community!

As @Joe Pitt mentioned there is no way to determine/identified that which custom field is using which project. If you are sharing same field configuration scheme with 15+ projects then all are the custom fields are contained by Field configuration scheme.

You need to go with Each and every custom field and then you need to identify or decide how you want to proceed ie mandatory/hide...

Thank you both! I assumed that was the case, sounds like this effort will be fun....
