How to hide children of epics that are on the backlog from displaying in the sprint backlog

Currently any issue open is displayed on my sprint backlog, If an Epic is on the backlog, I would like the children of that epic to be hidden from my sprint backlog. How can I do that?

WIth standard Insight operations - nope. However there is a trick allowing that with postfunction. :-) Revealing a secret behind 2nd part of Valiantys blog posts on Insight mastering:

if You use Create Insight Object from issue - you can pick the fields in JIRA ticket to have Insight object attributes assigned. If any of these will be setup to Insight field with default value and not edited during issue processing - you will get it.

Hi Przemek,

I thought about doing that, but lest say my cmdb is going to be managed mostly from outside so no new objects are going to be created in issues. All the work in the issues will be around solving tickets related to the objects in insight. But I still wanted to have them updated with their inventory object....

It seems I am out of luck thanks!
