How to create Jira diagrams using custom content

I see that there are multiple reports available as standard...burndown, etc.  But I want to create some custom reports that show, for example, how many story points are allocated for each sprint member for each sprint, and other similar reports...the standard reports want to generate reports based upon their own determination of what the correct content is.

There isn't a way to configure this through the REST API - there was originally a feature request open for this but it was closed a few years ago due to lack of interest: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-28800

Sorry that this may be disappointing - you could also try looking out in the developer forums for ways to do this without the REST API.
