How to configure the "right site" of the issue screen layout - additional sections get displyed?

Hi community,

I'm stuck on how to configure the "right site" section of the issue type layout?I ran over this article (https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/configure-field-layout-in-the-issue-view/) so far so good, but this only describes how to add / pull off fields etc. from existing sections (such as Details). In my case I'm facing now to "automatically" added new sections.

--> In know the meaning of them, but no actions around this happened!

1) Where do these come from - I guess due to any release push?

2) How can I get rid of them? (configuration option?)

3) How can I prevent such "surprises" in the future.

Our users are getting irritated by such "pushes".

Sorry for my lack of knowledge, but I'm really stuck with my so far existing capabilities of configuration:-(

Asking for advice.

Cheers Andreas

Hey Drew,

Jira Cloud is in the midst of getting some rather significant editor changes. For example, the wiki-style syntax we're used to from Jira Server is being replaced by actual markdown in Jira Cloud.

Tables haven't been implemented in the new editor in Jira yet. As somebody who also relied on those heavily in Server for making well-defined issues, I miss them a lot too!

One thing you can do short-term is click the "See the old view" link in the upper right of your screenshot. The old issue view still uses the old editor, and therefore still supports tables.

Cheers,
Daniel

Thank you Daniel, Any ideas of when we might see some of the re-working come to fruition?

Hey Drew,

I did ask around on Monday when making sure I could reproduce the problem. The teams working on that feature didn't have a particular timeframe they could commit to, but they are keenly aware that not having tables in the new issue view will be problematic for many folks.

We do have a bug opened up on jira.atlassian.com about this if you'd like to watch it: JRACLOUD-70235 Once it starts to roll out, the issue should be updated by our development team letting everyone know they've added tables back in and they'll arrive on everyone's Jira within a certain amount of days.

Cheers,
Daniel
