How to assign a user to custom field when a new ticket is created

I'm trying to create an automation. I would like to assign a specific user to a field that I have created inside a jira form. Can really understand what JSON should be used for this

To be able to see Development Tools under Project Settings, you need to be a Project Administrator. It is not enough to be a site-admin or similar you need the Project Administrator role for the specific project to see this tab.

To enable Development Tools under the issues you need to go to Project Settings -> Features and Enable "Code" here you can click Configure to setup the link or if you already have a link add GitLab projects.

As mentioned before you may also want to look into permission schemes to see if you are allowed to view these fields.

could you please check whether you have the appropriate permission to view the development tools on the specific project?

The permission is called "View Development Tools" and is granted via permission schemes.
