In Next-Gen projects, I have NO way of
1. set default assignee
- tried adding a rule to set assign when moved to To Do status in Kanban board. It only works when it is "moved to" To Do status. Not when an issue is created and "placed in" To Do status.
2. assign a workflow to issues
- previously, when created a project, there was auto-generated workflow for the project. I couldn't find it so I created a workflow and associated to the workflow scheme. Now, I can't find place to associate this workflow scheme to my projects.
Next-Gen is great, but missing something should be very "default" for the users.
No, but yes.
Resolution is NOT status. Status is an indicator of where you are in a workflow. The Resolution is a field that holds how the issue was resolved. The two are independent of each other technically. The status is, in fact, utterly irrelevant. You could have resolved issues that are open, reopened, carrots - doesn't matter.
The "created versus resolved" chart simply works from "the last time an issue's resolution changed from null to something-not-null". Status is not involved.
So, although you can't do it on status, what you can do is edit your workflow. Make sure that the "resolution" is not set on any transition until you need it (i.e. going to "ready for deployment") and it's not on the transition screens until you need it.
And also that this gadget is useful only for plotting one stage of the workflow where the resolution is set. Saw the plugin which seems to give more reporting capabilities for JIRA https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/EAZYBI
