Can't successfully insert people’s names into people fields on next-gen project

Hello all, I've created a next-gen project for my team and added a people field as a custom field. However, when I try to insert people's name into this field, the system keeps showing "no options". 

Any solutions? Thanks!

You can just have a quickfilter to filter out flagged tasks - they still count then but if you use the quick filter you see the count without flagged issues. If that is not enough, you have to exclude flagged issues from your board filter but this is dangerous because you can forget them easily. Of course you can subscribe to a filter for this kind of issues e.g.to get notified if they are not updated within one day so that you don't forget them...
