Automation - Not able to update 'Teams' field for issues

Hi,

 

I am trying to define an automation rule as below

When a new Issue is created -> Edit issues to update 'Team'.

Problem: 'Team' is not available in the 'Available Fields' for 'Edit Issues'

 

Under jira custom field setup, it shows up as "Team (LOCKED)". Any help would be appreciated

Hello Jorge,

I get the same questions frequently from my JIRA users. These Project Types are built in to JIRA. The only options are "Business," "Software," and "Service Desk" (dependent on your licenses).

I do agree that the phrase "Project Type" may give users the wrong impression; People wanting to use the features of JIRA Software, like Kanban, but are not necessarily a Software team still need to have their projects categorized as Software. I would like this to be editable too but I don't know of any way to override this through modifying files.
