Automatically Linking or Creating an Epic Based on Custom Field in Jira Cloud using JMWE

Hello,

I am seeking assistance with a specific use case in Jira Cloud using JMWE. Here's what I'm trying to achieve:

  1. When a new issue is created, it should be automatically linked to an Epic.
  2. The Epic's name/summary should match the value of a custom field filled out by the user during the issue creation.
  3. If an Epic with that specific summary already exists, the new issue should be linked to that existing Epic.
  4. If no such Epic exists, a new Epic should be created with the summary being the value of the custom field, and then the new issue should be linked to this newly created Epic.

However, I'm facing challenges in setting up a conditional execution script in JMWE

I would really appreciate any guidance or suggestions to resolve this.

Thank you for your assistance!

Yes, click on the Administration cogwheel -> System -> "global permission" and map the LDAP Groups to Permissions like:

Jira System Administrators and Jira Administrators

General User access with be done via Administration cogwheel -> Applications -> Application access
