Pushing data from Jira

How can we push details from Jira. For e.g. i create a project in Jira and capture issue creation details and the same not only creates issue in this particular project but also pushes data to some application to consume at its end. In turn, i also want to consume response received from that application and update this ticket.

In short, I want to use Jira to just capture details and push it to some application that processes and closes ticket and once done, Jira consumes information and close ticket here as well.

Hi Vijay,

Not a LDAP Expert but I can confirm it's going to be challenging. If you have groups in LDAP, they can be brought to Jira and used for Roles but distribution lists might not be groups... That being said, when setup LDAP integration you can use different properties as a "group membership" flag, maybe the distribution list membership could be used for group membership if you're not using groups from LDAP?

There are other way to import them but the issue would be maintaining them in sync with LDAP :(

Let's hope someone else will come with a better suggestion!
