Old Description in New View

I have a ticket that displays up to date changes to the description text, but shows an earlier  version of the ticket when I try to edit. This older version appears to be the last version I edited. Another user reviewed my edits and re-wrote the description. Now I cannot make edits to the latest version.

This only happens in new view. When I revert to the old view, I can edit the latest version. Has anyone had any problems like this?

ran into the same question today.

1. Go to your Board that the gadget is using
2. "Board -> configure" on the upper right
3. "Estimation" from the left side tabs
4. set Time tracking to none (and obviously "Estimation statistic" to story points in case you haven't)

Thanks for your answer.

However your suggestion does not fix the issue, since we actually use Time Tracking hence we cannot disable it.

Then the only thing I can think of right now would be to copy the board and use that for the gadget with different estimation configuration.
