Kanban view on different issues

HI Team,

I'd like to ask your help. In one of our projects we have setup the required issues, however their workflows are different so their statuses are also different.

When I go to Kanban board, I'd imagine by selecting one type of issue, the kanban board would update itself to reflect the relevant statuses but unfortunately this isn't the case.

Could you please help?

Kumar,

You can do this one of two ways.

  1. Update the email templates in JIRA to include issue type in the subject.  It should be something like this $issue.issueType.name.  This would apply the change to all email notifications.  You could also add logic to determine if it was the correct project and then add the following to the subject.

You can find out more here about customizing email templates on JIRA Server - https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver071/customizing-email-content-802592932.html
  2. You can also by one of several different plugins that allow you to create templates for email via the Jira application.  Some of them allow for changes at the project level. You can find more out about them here: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?product=jira&query=email%20template
