Hello,

Can someone provide instructions or any insight on how to auto populate custom fields in parent tickets to subtask? Is there an automation that someone is aware of.

Thanks,

Z

Hi Marco,

Can you please give us more details about the permissions that external users have?
Are they able to access and view the ticket?
What would you like to restrict for the external users?

Regards,
Angélica

Hi @Angélica Luz, thanks you for the quick response;

Suppose that a group of users is called "Brand's". These users should not be allowed to modify tickets, such as status, fields.. They can only see and comment.

Other type of users, we weed that they can only create tickets to the "Brands",  and have little access to the tickets created by the "brands", like comments parts.

¿It is possible?

Regards,

Marco.

Hi Marco,

Yes, it's possible to restrict this type of changes on a project.
Please, go to the Project Settings > Permissions where you can see who has permissions to transition issues and edit issues.
Usually, it's set to "Any logged in user", so you must restrict the permissions to the groups you want. For example, if you add the group "Administrators" and remove the "Any logged in user", the users of the group "Brand's" won't be able to edit or transition issues.

Hope this helps!

Regards,
Angélica

Hi @Angélica Luz ,

Currently I'm working with Jira Work Management, and I have several teams in one project (ex. product team, business development team, etc). But I want to restrict the business development team from seeing on the board the product team's tickets (I created specific issue types for each team). Right now I only restricted "browser the tickets" to try to solve this, for example, if you aren't the assignee or the reporter, you can't see the ticket on the board, but some teams have more than 2 people. Can I do another kind of configuration to control this?

Thank you in advance.
