Extracting a number from SmartValue

Hi, I want to create a Variable by extracting a number out of a string using regex. I did not find any documentation on how to do that. Is this even possible?

Imagine

Version 5.3

I want to extract the 3 part, like

Version 5.(\d+)

But how to do that in the "Create variable" action?

Absolutely not.

You need to upgrade to Jira 6.4, then 7.0, then you can go to 7.10

Hi Madhura,

No you can not upgrade directly to the latest JIRA.

I recommend that you upgrade in the following order:

6.0.6  6.0.8 →6.3.15 → 6.4.14 7.0.11 → 7.10.1

Have a nice day,
