Can you search for projects other than their name and or key?

I have around 20 or so projects that I want to include in a JQL query. Now rather than add each project name or key, is there an option to use some other project value e.g. project category? So rather than have "project in (ABC,EFG, ETC)" you could do something like project_category = specific_category_name"

there are several option, one would be to use apache or nginx as an reverse proxy in front of your jira instance
