I know the bulk change limit can be increased for JIRA Server, but is there a way to do it for JIRA Cloud?

I want to migrate cca 2700 tickets from one project to another and need to do it in one batch to not loose connections between epics and tasks/stories. I would then put the limit back to 1000.

Anyone knows how to do this? :)

Hello,

You should remove all permissions except Project admins and Project owners from the Transition Issues permission.

Hi @Bunty,

there's a permission about managing sprints in Jira. But this permission allows the following actions:

  • Creating sprints
  • Starting sprints
  • Completing sprints
  • Reopening sprints
  • Reordering future sprints
  • Deleting future sprints
  • Editing sprint information (sprint name and dates)
  • Moving the sprint footer

As you described, you want to restrict people from adding issues to sprints. Adding issues to sprints is in effect editing editing an issue and providing a value to the sprint field. So you would need to remove the edit issues permission from these issues.

However, this also restricts people from editing the issue - so I'm not sure if this is what you want.

Cheers,
Matthias.
