Best Practices for tracking work for people (vendors) who don't have access to Jira?

Hi!
Are there any best practices or tips for tracking cards, sub tasks, etc that are being worked by someone who doesn't have access to Jira?

The person who doesn't have access is an external vendor, I don't want them to have access. But I would still like to track the work we need from them along with the work the rest of the team is doing.

Any advice or tips would be appreciated!

What are you doing to change the status?

What does the workflow look like?

What are the symptoms?  (Any errors?  Or does it just appear to go through the transition ok and then the status doesn't change?)

What does the history say for what you have just done?

when ever i change the status it giving message as issue updated, but it is not moving to modified status

i am not able to to any history

If you can see the issue, you can see the history of it (unless you have a heavily and badly customised Jira system).  When you go to the main issue view, do you really not have a "history" tab?

We need to see the history, it tells us what changed. 

Could you also tell us what you are doing to change the status and what the workflow looks like?

i Can see History tab, but i am not able to see my chnages

So whatever you are doing is not writing to the issue at all.

Could you also tell us what you are doing to change the status and what the workflow looks like?
