Question on upcoming changes: 'epic-link' replaced with 'parent'

Hi,

according to following article, Upcoming changes: 'epic-link' replaced with 'parent' | Jira Software Cloud | Atlassian Support, changes to epic-link should be effective from October 2023. However, I could not find any confirmation neither in Atlassian community nor in Product updates that change will be effectively rolled-out next month.

On our side, Epic Links are still in use until it will be replaced by parents, and it is important that we inform our users when such change will occur.

Do any of you have a more accurate information on this topic?

Hi @Kevin Paugam - Per the most recent communications on this, Parent will not immediately replace existing Epic Link/Parent Link fields so there should be no immediate impact and thus enough time to work with teams on making the switch to the new hierarchical structure.
