I started using the product discovery project to manage different product ideas. From an idea, you can click on delivery and create a ticket on a project shared with the development team.
On both projects, I set up a custom field called Value Score, which takes into account different impacts minus the effort required to accomplish this idea. Is it possible to populate the value score on the delivery ticket according to the idea ticket? If so, how?
*Clarification: I understand this can be done with Jira automation, I'm asking who know what is the exact global rule I need to set up for this functionality.
Hi @Yael Geffen
Yes, that is possible.
One way to do that is with an automation for Jira rule. The rule would need to have global / multi-project scope as it spans both of your projects. It could be triggered on a change to any of the fields which feed into your calculation.
To get you started on creating your rule, please refer to these documentation and example sources:
If you run into problems after creating your rule, please post images of the rule and the audit log details, and explain what does not work as you expected.
Kind regards,
Bill
