Hi,
in our Jira instance we have defined some additional project roles like "Team Member" and "Viewer".
In the concrete use case I wanted to add the project role "Team Member" to a specific user who has already the project role "Administrators" (see picture 01).
Because he is already part of the project user list, I only had to set the check box next to the project role "Team Member" (see picture 02). As a result, the check box is activated and the role seems to be assigned. But in the header of the little window of the list of project roles the title has not changed, it remained "Administrators" (I expect to see the title "Multiple(2)" instead). Moreover, the change seems not to be saved - clicking again in the project role and looking at the check box regarding "Team Member" shows that the check box is not activated anymore.
In case I choose another project role, in my example "Viewer", the system behaves like I would expect it: the check box is activated and the title changes to "Multiple(2)" (see picture 03). In this case the change has been saved.
This behavior is repeatable also in other projects of our instance. In case a user has already the project role "Team Member", one is able to deactivate the role as well as to activate it afterwards. I'm also able to add new user to a project and to give them the role "Team Member".
Additional remark: After I could not set the checkbox via dialog, I tried to set the checkbox for the corresponding users via script. And it seemed to work, because afterwards I generated (also via script) a list of project roles and users of the project under consideration and the set of Team Members had been changed and was correct. But in the dialog the checkboxes are still deactivated...
Do someone has an idea what can be the reason of this somehow mystic behavior? Where should I check?
I look forward to your feedback! Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Günter
